The app does well, although the editing options are not at the same level as a more complicated photo editing program. Clicking one of the icons around the main PhotoScape icon is one, or you can access them via the tabs that run across the top of the app. On the slightly strange home screen, you’re offered two ways of interacting with the photo editing software. As soon as you choose an option, this will disappear, but it does make your first experience with the app a little strange. That’s mainly because the start screen looks unbalanced since there’s a large image to the right and almost nothing to the left. Once you open the program, you’ll see an interface that looks a little odd. ![]() The install wizard can sometimes bundle other programs, so you should pay attention throughout, but the overall impression is one of ease. Instead, I tweak each aspect individually, on my own.The PhotoScape download and install are painless and quick. Therefore I opt not to use their auto-adjustments. I've used other photo editing software that handles auto-adjustments better. Their auto-adjustment features aren't too good. Simple edits like that as well as hundreds more are available and fairly easy to use. I'm talking purely as an everyday user who likes to edit my own photos for my own enjoyment. Note: I am NOT a photographer, I don't do any work, professionally, with photos. Anything and everything I need to do, to edit my photos is available. Overall, easy to easy, and robust with features. I might also add optional filters, depending on the subject matter. If nothing else, I crop, and adjust brightness and contrast so that the picture is pleasing to the eye. Not only is it affordable, but it also offers a wide range of features, including basic editing tools, effects and filters, and even advanced tools like selective adjustments and layer editing.
